Terminology - Taffy - 07-15-2017 I see a lot of posts here and on the internet that are confusing the words conformation and confirmation when talking about a goat's body. Conformation has its base in the word conform, which means to follow the rules, or behave in such a way that you fit in, in a social or a spatial way (i.e. adjusting to something else's contours). Conformation should not be confused with confirmation, which means showing the truth or accuracy of something. It is important to confirm a goat has the proper conformation to be a good packgoat.
