I have to admit that I do buy boar goat meat from a local butcher shop here and I really do like it. I would never eat my own goats though.

Wethers and Does taste fine if processed right. You do NOT want to eat a mature buck. It tastes terrible.

I have actually had mature buck meat-Nubian-out of breeding season tasted fine, a little tough but fine otherwise

The sad thing is that its not just weathers that go for meat.
I have seen perfectly good big milk goats go too.
