CAE testing - goatzrule - 07-01-2018 I'm going to start testing my herd for CAE every year, what is a good place to use? Any ideas on price? How old do they have to be for reliable results? RE: CAE testing - Nanno - 07-01-2018 I use CSU, but that's because it's cheap for Colorado residents. Find out if there's a university in your state that has a lab that tests for CAE. Usually those college labs give better deals to state residents. I've also used WADDL in the past. My tests are usually around $6 each I believe. If I send the samples to WADDL then I also have to pay a $10 accession fee for out-of-state residents. Shipping is also a bit pricey because it has to be rushed if I send it all the way to Washington. I like to send my samples in wintertime so I don't have to pack them on ice. And now that I'm shipping to CSU I can use Priority mail rather than overnight, which saves quite a bit of money. RE: CAE testing - goatzrule - 07-01-2018 Thanks, all look around. |
