Prusik Knot - Taffy - 09-03-2018 When you are tying the piece of rope that will become your loop for a Prusik Knot what knot do you use to tie the loop? RE: Prusik Knot - Mike - 09-03-2018 In rope rescue we use two opposing barrel knots, or in fishing they call tgem nail knots. Animated knots.com has really good videos on how to tye them. I took some picture that may help. RE: Prusik Knot - Mike - 09-03-2018 Taffy, I also took some pics of how to attach your new prussik loop to a line. Just a note, your prussik loop rope diameter has to be smaller than the rope you are wanting to attack it to for it to properly grip. Hope this helps. You can also find this on animatedknots.com . The last picture of the prussik loop on the main line is not what you want your 3 wrap prussik to look like. I just wanted you to see what some times can happen. zThe second to last one is what you want to see. RE: Prusik Knot - Taffy - 09-04-2018 Awesome info and great photos! Thank you Mike!
