Dwight saves the day! - Taffy - 02-17-2015 Dwight saves the day! http://www.cnn.com/videos/us/2015/02/17/pkg-goat-helps-catch-a-fugitive.kktv/video/playlists/strange-but-true/ RE: Dwight saves the day! - Dave-Trinity-Farms - 02-18-2015 Maybe as a reward they could give him some minerals. RE: Dwight saves the day! - Nanno - 02-18-2015 Yay for Dwight! Fountain, CO--that's almost in our neck of the woods! RE: Dwight saves the day! - IdahoNancy - 02-18-2015 Dave, what did you see that make you think he needs minerals? RE: Dwight saves the day! - Dave-Trinity-Farms - 02-18-2015 Just his coat. Coarse, dull and ruff looking. The weather could add to it but IMO that goat needs some mins RE: Dwight saves the day! - michael - 02-19-2015 Someone told me the coarse dull coat is a sign of copper deficiency and to give copper blouses. Is that about right? RE: Dwight saves the day! - Dave-Trinity-Farms - 02-19-2015 Could be copper or zinc deficiency. And although it would make your goat look pretty good, Id suggest giving it a bolus instead of a blouse LOL sorry, couldnt pass up a typo like that. Here we have started to use multimin 90 along with our mineral mix. Because our mix is sulfate and oxide based, it just doesnt do enough. The multimin 90 has the 4 main minerals goats needs and by injecting it under the skin, it has to be absorbed. Here is a link to a page on my site. It goes over pack goat care in good detail with a focus on my opinions and what I do. http://trinitypackgoats.webs.com/howtopackgoatcare.htm RE: Dwight saves the day! - michael - 02-20-2015 Hard as I try I still miss some of those auto corrects . Good catch Dave. Thanks for the link, I will check it out. |
