Heartworms

Does anyone vaccinate or is there a need to vaccinate goats for heartworms? 

I know people use heartworm meds for not just dogs but horses too

I have never heard of heartworms in goats or in horses for that matter. If I remember correctly, the heartworm treatment we give dogs is just another form of Ivermectin, and this is one of the standard wormers we give to both horses and goats on a rotational basis.

That's a relief. I have been deworming my goats and I never noticed ivermectin was an active ingredient.
