I've been going through ten years worth of photographs. It's hard to take a life so full and distill it down to only the best memories. I have wanted to create a photo montage memorial for Finn for some time, but it has been difficult. I am struggling to truly say goodbye to our best and favorite goat. Finn was truly the Greatest Of All Time. I don't expect we will ever see his equal. I love the others, and of course Cuzco, Sputnik, and now Pongo all have special places in my heart, but Finn had something even more. He was as beautiful and athletic and well-bonded to us as Cuzco, but he was more approachable. Finn was kind and gentle. The smallest child or the frailest old lady could hug wrap their arms around him. He would snuggle up to me and put his head on my chest. I could use Finn for a backrest or a pillow and he would curl his head around and lay it on my lap or my shoulder. Pongo is sweet and affectionate like Finn, but Pongo will never be as beautiful or athletic or bold. Finn checked all the boxes and it's hard coming to terms with his premature departure, but I hope soon to post a fitting tribute to the most amazing goat to ever grace our lives.

I am so very sorry! Losing our friends is truly heart wrenching! I don't think people who have never loved and been loved by a goat really understand how special they really are and how hard it is to lose them. Finn truly was amazing and I am looking forwards to seeing your tribute to him!

I always meant to do that for Bacchus, Victoria, and Shelby GT. I think about all of them every day. But yeah its painful to browse the old pictures.
I don't drink beer, but if I did, I'd prefer Dos Equis. Stay thirsty my friends!

Yes, it's hard to let go of these extra-special friends. Memorializing Finn feels too final, and yet I also know how important it is to have closure, and to honor the memories of our dear departed.
