I love the hair and beards too. I don't want their packs pulling on the hair so hopefully some of it goes away this spring, The beards are great though! I like beards on men too so it's only natural my boys have them.

I have the horse clippers to use and I've done trace clips on the endurance horses so pack clips shouldn't be a problem. Who knows, I could start the next hair style fad!

lol actually show clips on dairy bucks is pretty common for buck shows. Everything is clipped to the base of the skull and then feathered in. Often leaving their face and beard hair intact.

I can't even feather my own hair let alone one of the boys! I'll wait and see what's left after everybody sheds and go from there. They might not even look like the same goats!

They usually keep the long hair and shed the under coat

It will be cool to see them then. Also be nice when the buck smell finally fades. They were out in the snow and rain today when it was blowing in sideways even though cover was available. Need a few more days like today to give them a good rinse off!
