NAPGA needs help to legally try and fight these proposed bans and restrictions on pack goats in national forests. Please, even the smallest donation helps. Let's fight!! (Forgive me if this fundraiser has already been posted somewhere on this site). Check out the GoFundMe website below and donate.

Yes, there is actually already a thread in the Campfire section:

I'm guessing Charlie just wanted it closer to the top of the web page. I'll probably make that thread sticky and delete this one, actually.

I think we need to have a brainstorming session as to what corporate sponsors we could approach for NAPgA & our cause. Any suggestions? It would sure be nice to get a few big donations.

How about feed companies? We are a smaller segment of their customer base but we do spend money with them. Possibly the college extension services that sponsor 4-H programs for goats which include goat packing.
Our local goat group is having a jamboree in a couple weeks. I'll certainly pass the word to all attendees there especially during the packing 101 class I'm instructing.

Bump, keeping this thread up top!
FYI--I filed an individual objection to the Shoshone National Forest environmental impact statement, revised land management plan, and draft recored of decision. My objection has been assigned number 14-13-00-0159. You can find it under the following link, along with Andrew Irvine's objection on behalf of NAPGA:

My individual objection:

You are welcome to paraphrase from my letter when you file comments to the Blue Mountain Forest Plans, or any future land management plans. Remember, if you don't comment, you can't object!--Saph

I see there has currently been $5,155 raised on the
http://www.gofundme.com/7s4z5g site. Way to go folks! Our goal is $85,000. It sounds like a lot of money (well, it IS a lot of money) but we need to win the fight! Please keep spreading the word and encouraging folks to donate!
