I took pictures of goats so I could list them for sale. I've kind of been putting it off. I love all my babies and I don't want to sell any of them! But I also can't keep them all and so I must try to find caring homes for them.
I also wanted to get some photos of Rocky and Rambo so we can advertise them for stud this fall--if they ever bother to come into rut. Big as they are, they're just as sweet and mellow and un-smelly as can be even though they're coming on five months old. I've been told that Nubians are laid back and slow to mature, but this prolonged babyhood is surprising. Anyway, I brought the goats on the porch to get pictures, and Rambo was absolutely convinced that I was trying to throw him off the stairs! Every time I tried to set him up with his tail toward the stairway, he hunched forward and refused to put his hind feet one step back. Here he is, a good four feet from the stairs and still trying to scoot away from the opening. We finally had to give up on this location. He just knew I wanted to push him right off the edge!
