Our first packgoat was an Alpine/Nubian cross named Cuzco. He was amazing on the trail and I always felt like that goat would rather die than quit. He was a great water crosser too, and he showed some of our younger boys how it's done before he passed last year at 15 years old. Cuzco is the reason we're experimenting with Alpine/Nubian crosses. So far I've liked most of our results, and we keep slowly upgrading our does and bucks as time goes on and finances allow. I'll be posting photos of our kids in this thread as they're born:

Have you looked into that little buckling in Paonia that I linked to earlier? He's closer to you than I am! I'm all the way over in Rye, so opposite end of the state. He looks nice and sounds quite friendly.
