How come nearly every "good deal" ends up being a much bigger project than expected? I can think of only a few "bargain of a lifetime" deals that turned out even better than expected. Two that come instantly to mind are Cuzco (the best $25 we've ever spent on anything), and our livestock guardian dog, Daisy ("free to good home").
