The National Forest Service and High Desert Partnership are scheduled to host three public meetings to discuss the draft Blue Mountains Forest Plan next week.
· The first public workshop is in John Day on Monday, Aug. 17 at 6 p.m. at the Grant County Regional Airport. It will focus on the Pace and Scale of Restoration and how it is addressed in the draft Forest Plans.
· The second public workshop, focused on the same topic, is in Burns on Tuesday, Aug. 18 at 6 p.m. at the Burns Community Center.
· The third workshop is in Long Creek on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 6 p.m. at the Long Creek Community Hall and is a combined discussion on Grazing as well as Pace and Scale of Restoration.
The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for all of the meetings. Please see the attached news release for more information.
