Why does Curtis need to replace Legion? Did something happen to him? Is that injury he had from birth giving him a hard time?

Legion broke a hind leg during our icy weather. Curtis put him down last Friday.

Ya, he tore it up very badly. The chance the surgery would of helped was slim and expensive but he would of never packaged again.

How sad! I'm so sorry. He was a beautiful goat. I loved the photos and videos you posted when he was a youngster. Did anyone see how he managed to hurt himself so badly?
All these new babies are just wonderful. How many more does left to kid?

Dang, Legion sure was a pretty boy. Sorry to hear Curtis had to put him down but sounds like it was the right thing to do. When Scout was 7 years old and 1 good leg to stand on I tried many ways to separate him from the pack so he could rest at home. No matter what I did to ease the separation he was having nothing to do with it. The only way to get the other goats out on the trail was to let Scout go.
I had one goat do a face plant on glare ice last month. Cruzer is kinda of use to falling down so he did not hurt anything but his dignity. We are still running around here with snow and ice.

Thanks everyone. And a huge thank you to Curtis for taking a fat outta shape goat in. Training, loving and giving him a great life.

They're so precious! I want to hold all of them! I love the little brown one sucking on the finger in the second-to-last photo.
