New Member from Arkansas
#1
Hello everyone! I am a new member from Fayetteville, Arkansas. I've been around goats most of my life, but have only been a part of the packing goat thing for a little over a year. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your community!

I am super excited to tell you about a new non-profit organization that I am a part of. Snake Mountain Pack Goats. SMPG is dedicated to taking Veterans and 1st responders on outdoor adventures using packing goats. We just started this project this past May, so it is still just getting off the ground (besides the fact that all of our packers are 2 year olds and younger). So far, the packing goat community has been extremely supportive of our project, and I am super excited to have a chance to meet more of you through Pack Goat Central.

Right now we do not have an actual website. But we have a FaceBook page (https://www.facebook.com/SMFpackgoats/) and we are on Instagram and Twitter (SnakeMountainFarms).

Thanks again for having me, and I look forward to chatting with you.

Welcome! I'm so happy to see a packgoat enthusiast from Arkansas! We took our goats to Arkansas last year and had a wonderful time there. Here's a thread about our adventures in your lovely state:

Nanno, those pictures from the Buffalo are amazing! It looks like y'all really had a great time and saw some of Arkansas best places! Thanks for sharing. I spend a lot of time in and around the BNR, but haven't taken any of my goats down there yet.... but it's coming soon, I assure you!

Hi... I'm new to the site also and I'm from the Texarkana area.  I'm trying to meet people in Arkansas, Texas, and Lousiana who have experience with pack goats and don't mind giving some advice.  Where do you take your goats to hike?  I'm not that far from Arkansas and thought I would take mine hiking there when they get a little older.
