Big Sky Pack Goats 2024!
#1
We moved to Montana from Texas with our goats in early July which is a big dream come true!!! We have been super busy with fences and barns so we haven't got many hikes this year but we did get a few very nice walks! This walk was in mid October.

Dill, my 3 year old Boer wether who is such a good boy! Here he is wearing his new saddle from Putnam Packgoats for the very first time! He did amazing and carried about 20# on a 4.5 mile hike with about 800ft elevation gain.

Tittlemouse who is my 18 month old Alpine Doe! Because it was hunting season we put a red shirt on her.

And Tinkerbelle who is Tittlemouse's twin sister. Tinker is very enthusiastic about hiking and she really loves me!

It was a beautiful day with lovely fall color...

And glorious views!

But I think the best part was the goats!

They were very good and followed so well!

It was just a perfect day!
I have several more walks that I have pictures of that I will be posting soon!  Smile

Thankyou!!! These are my older goats but I also have a string of Bopines that are almost a year old. The problem is the Alpines will "stab" the little ones if I put them all in the back of the truck together so I have to train them separately! Sad

Wow, that sounds amazing! Moving to Montana must be such a big change from Texas, especially for your goats! I bet they’re loving the cooler weather and new scenery. Mid-October must have been beautiful for hiking, with all the fall colors. What kind of trails did you explore? I’m curious if you found any spots that your goats particularly enjoyed walking along!

It has been a big adventure! We have been looking to move the mountains for more than 10 years so it is so exciting that it finely happened! I have a thread on another forum if you would like to see pictures of our move My Goats Move to Montana. I would have posted a thread here but I couldn't figure out how to post pictures at the time.
So far we have only gotten to walk old logging roads but next year I am hoping to really hit the trails and there are some very nice ones near us! The goats seem to really enjoy the walks and the scenery too! I will post more pictures soon! Wink
