I peered over the edge and darned if there wasn't a mountain goat, sunbathing, on the edge of a cliff, about 200 ft below me!

Wow that hike is 9 miles one way? 4,000 feet of climb? Thats hard core!

Trailhead is 6199' and the Summit is 9712'. So around 3500+' in elevation. Beautiful hike!

Absolutely!!! The views are amazing & I took my 10 & 12 year old up there last year. We went up about 5 miles (2000 ft) camped & then summited the next day. We ate lunch then hiked down to our camp, grabbed our stuff & came out. They were pretty tired but they loved having done it. I will definitely be taking my goats & kids up there this year...probably in June.

BTW, if you go to the rock at the absolute left of Charlie's leg & drop down about 4500' you would run right into my house & my goats.
