Prospects in Utah

To be called a "prospect" it would indicate a goat that seems friendly, willing to follow, curious, some degree of being outgoing and likely willing to work with it's human. There are also physical traits that are looked for which is not always size but the build. A good breeder will be able to see a packer prospect very early in a newborn kid. Usually much earlier than those of us that use packgoats but do not breed them. My advise when getting a packgoat is choose your breeder wisely and save yourself investing a lot of energy into goat that is not going to work.
